Like it or not – in modern business and social media branding you need to be more “likeable”!

Have you noticed how the business world is changing?

You often have to work harder to attract customers.

Businesses and professions once had customers and  clients lining up to see them.

Now, you  have to work harder to attract attention, differentiate your offering and build relationships that keep clients with you.

I’ve been working so much on legal marketing lately that I’ve created a new blog specifically on legal marketing.

The same principles apply to other professions – if you are in another profession.

If this area interests you – you can find the blog here.

It’s called the Likeable Lawyer based on the word LIKE – how modern lawyers need to show how they are LIKE their clients (what things they have in common) and connect by sharing what they LIKE (revealing more of your personal side and interests outside of work).

Many professionals were brought up valuing professional detachment. They didn’t have to be likeable.  It was enough to be professional. Many feel uncomfortable revealing their personal side.

Now that’s all changed – and if you don’t want to be left behind – you better start being a more likeable and social media savvy professional.

The theme (look of the blog) is based on something I LIKE – a good yellow legal pad just begging to be written on!

    Hi egangelist,

You’ve made a very good point with this post. To succeed in social media, you have to be likeable. I think that is the most basic in social media branding.

I’ve taken a look through your website and we think you’ve done a fantastic job in covering topics that our brand’s active audience would be interested in reading about, such as advertising and marketing advice, tips and trends. It would be great if you could join our community to feature your blog entries.

If you would like to learn more about this, please send an e-mail with “ad” in the subject line to info [at]
